Art Deco started in France in the 1920's, then expanded across Europe and the US as a symbol of optimism and confidence in the future, but it ended with WWII. Let's explore a few of London Art Deco buildings and enjoy their glamour! We will talk about:

  • The debate in 1920's: decorate or not decorate? This is the (not trivial) dilemma!
  • Examples of London Buildings: RHS Floral Hall, Loughton Station, Trinity Court, Wallis Building, Daimler Car Hire Garage, Carreras Cigarette Factory, Victoria Embankment, Daily Express, Daily Telegraph, Savoy hotel, BBC building

There is time for Q&A and conversation..
