The talk will give an overview of SOE, how it was formed and what it did (“Set Europe ablaze” instructed Winston Churchill). It will review the training that took place on the Beaulieu estate in Hampshire and look at a few of the characters and people involved. The cases of two Beaulieu trained agents will be discussed. One who survived the war and one who did not.
