This talk will review the history behind Dame Alice Lisle, who in 1685 was executed in Winchester for harbouring two fugitives from the Battle of Sedgemoor. She lived at Moyles Court and is buried at Ellingham Church in the New Forest. She was the last woman to suffer beheading in England.
