Good nutrition is essential for healthy ageing and longevity. It is important we focus on the quality of the food we eat as we get older to make sure our bodies are getting all the essential nutrients needed to stay healthy. Eating nutrient-dense foods is particularly important as we get older because:
As we age we become less able to absorb nutrients from food, sometimes due to digestive issues
We need more protein as we age as we become less efficient in using protein to maintain muscle
In this talk we offer practical advice on how to eat well as you get older, making sure you eat a nutrient-dense diet, look after your metabolic health and maintain muscle.
