An illustrated time line of what happened in London in the 1880's, the overcrowding and the disease that forced Parliament to find a solution. Numerous outrageous suggestions finally resulted in a dedicated railway line to transport your loved one after their death to interment in Surrey, it was London's secret railway line.
Approx. 50 minute PowerPoint presentation, explaining why the growth of London resulted in burying the dead outside the capital. An illustrated talk giving background to why and how it happened.
