An illustrated history of Plastic Surgery, from ancient Egypt to the present day. From the wounds of WWI to the rehabilitation of those injured in WWII, the wounds treated by the four pioneers of modern plastic surgery has outlined the surgery of today. There is more to the story than just "Tummy Tucks" & "Face Lifts".

Approx. 50 minute PowerPoint presentation without medical jargon, explaining things in everyday language and showing what was once experimental has now transformed lives.

About Andrew Relf

Now semi-retired with over 45 years working within the NHS and Pharmaceutical Industry. Now a Medical Historian and Restorer of Medical Antiques. Researching for Medical History is now the basis of my talks which are designed for a general audience, I do not use medical jargon & my presentations are informative, humorous & well illustrated.

Ideal for U3a, Rotary, WI, Probus, Social Groups but also of interest to Historical Societies and General interest Groups.

I provide illustrated PowerPoint presentations using non medical jargon and can tailor or research talks to meet specific interests.
I have put East of England as a Region but happy to be flexible to other areas in Southern England.

My website (note : specialised for my own Medical Antique business) may help provide some additional background information www.noahmedicalcollectibles.com

(Update January 2024 - I have been speaking to groups since 2014 and donate any fees given to charity, [two nominated each year] but regrettably with the cost of fuel I am now having to cover my expenses and then donating the remainder to charity.)
