Details of talks given by Rebecca Hale
Leicester Cathedral is a Norman building much restored during the Victorian era. It is is also the final resting place of the last king of England to die in battle, Richard III.
The Cathedral has recently reopened following major restoration. Having developed slideshows during the closure period, which we can take out to outside organisations, we are very keen to continue with this offer. Topics we cover include the re-interment of Richard III, a highlights tour of the Cathedral, The Cathedral windows, the Regimental Chapel - A post colonial perspective and the Leicester Cathedral Revealed project and the archaeological dig. Our talks are delivered by trained and enthusiastic Cathedral guides, whilst the slideshows have been developed to a very high standard.
If your organisation has a keen interest in history and would like us to showcase Leicester Cathedral in this way we would be delighted to hear from you.
