Leicester Cathedral is Norman in origin but was heavily restored in the Victorian era. It is, of course, the final resting place of Richard III, the last king of England to die in battle.
In this talk we take you on a highlights tour of the Cathedral, taking in the most significant windows, the tomb of Richard III, the high altar, and the four chapels of St Dunstan, St George, St Katherine and Christ the King. From the Norman, through the medieval era and on to the modern, this talk will appeal to any group that has an interest in history and in cathedrals in particular.

The Cathedral has recently reopened following major restoration. Having developed slideshows during the closure period, which we can take out to outside organisations, we are very keen to continue with this offer. Topics we cover include the re-interment of Richard III, a highlights tour of the Cathedral, The Cathedral windows, the Regimental Chapel - A post colonial perspective and the Leicester Cathedral Revealed project and the archaeological dig. Our talks are delivered by trained and enthusiastic Cathedral guides, whilst the slideshows have been developed to a very high standard.
