An acknowledged expert and authority on glass, the speaker is often called upon by television programmes to supply and talk about examples of the glass-blower's craft and art. He talks about the history of glass making from 3000B.C., and brings historic and valuable specimens from his own extensive collection of glass for members to examine. An authoritative and humorous insight into a fascinating subject. This is one of the most popular of Francis' talks, and he has often been asked to repeat it!
