Neil Ewing and Neil Nixon are Kent-based authors who've come from very different backgrounds to cover almost everything aspiring writers might want to know. Neil Ewing finished a lengthy professional career with Lloyds of London before fulfilling a lifetime's ambition to become a published novelist. Neil Nixon's scattergun literary career has included everything from a major award nomination as a radio dramatist to scripting for Sooty, along the way he founded the UK's first university course in Professional Writing and led it for 20 years. The pair come prepared to work with groups, share their own stories and guide workshop sessions to help everyone explore their own potential as a writer.
Views: 12 | Enquiries: 0I have been writing for publication since I was a student; a career that has allowed me to explore a number of subjects to the point of being an expert with a fund of stories.
At the end of the last century I founded the UK's first higher education course in Professional Writing.
Over the years I have written and spoken on a range of subjects but am currently offering talks based on life-long interests and passions.
All of these talks are negotiable in terms of length, the range of examples brought into any discussion and the extent to which hard facts and humour are included. More than anything I am happy to negotiate each event to take into account the needs of an audience.
