This is a close look at investigating strange phenomena specifically designed for groups and venues who don't use audio visual technology. A brief overview of the best known claims of the paranormal is presented with visual images on a laptop before the main work begins with a look at two or three well-known paranormal claims local to the venue booking the talk and a workshop session in which author and paranormal researcher Neil Nixon shares ten difficult situations he has personally encountered and employs the audience in considering the right responses in impossible situations. Not suitable for very large audience groups (unless AV projection is added to the workshop) but an engaging and surprisingly funny addition to most speaker programmes for smaller groups.

About Neil Nixon

I have been writing for publication since I was a student; a career that has allowed me to explore a number of subjects to the point of being an expert with a fund of stories. At the end of the last century I founded the UK's first higher education course in Professional Writing. Over the years I have written and spoken on a range of subjects but am currently offering talks based on life-long interests and passions. All of these talks are negotiable in terms of length, the range of examples brought into any discussion and the extent to which hard facts and humour are included. More than anything I am happy to negotiate each event to take into account the needs of an audience.
