Rosalind Franklin was arguably the greatest X- Ray crystallographer of her era. Her crucial X- Ray photo of DNA provided a vital clue which enabled Watson and Crick to work out the iconic double helix structure of DNA. Yet, Jim Watson was shown this photo without her knowledge or consent! She disliked Watson so much she once tried to physically attack him! She died, aged only 37, from ovarian cancer - probably induced by the X- Rays she worked with. Her world class research was not acknowledged during her lifetime, yet now she’s even got a Mars roamer named after her! Would she have shared Watson and Crick’s Nobel Prize if she had still been alive in 1962? This is a story of intrigue, deception, misogyny and brilliant science!
