We have known about cells for hundreds of years, but it only since the invention of the electron microscope that we have been able to reveal their detailed working. This talk shows the incredible detail of the various molecular machines inside cells - illustrating how DNA copies itself, how proteins are manufactured and transported within the cell and how mitochondria generate our energy. The talk is illustrated with about 30 slides and animations.
