Graham Young was The Teacup Poisoner.

Hear how this 14-year-old schoolboy embarked upon a lethal career by poisoning his family and schoolfriends. Discover how he became the youngest inmate in Broadmoor since 1885. Be amazed at how he not only killed at least one fellow inmate whilst in Broadmoor but tampered with both staff and inmates’ drinks.

If proof were needed that truth is indeed stranger than fiction, then hear how he managed to hoodwink the Broadmoor medical staff into declaring him cured and releasing him early.

Learn how, following his release, he was able to secure a job in a factory where one of his duties was making the tea for his colleagues! Ooooops! You won’t be surprised at what happened next.

Hear how he was once again in court, but this time sentenced to life imprisonment and sent to HMP Parkhurst. Discover the changes made by the Home Secretary as a result of this case and the final twist in this dark tale.

I will need to be able to park at, or very close to, your venue entrance. The presentation lasts about 60 minutes.

About Mike Wabe

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL MY TALKS LAST AROUND 60 MINUTES.

I am based in Thetford, Norfolk, but happy to travel. My work history is 29 years a police officer, followed by 4 years as a manager for Autoglass, then by 10 years as a prison officer and ending with 3 years as an Inclusion Manager in a secondary school. I am now a Town Crier and have been a speaker for over 20 years.

My website (www.medievalworld.org.uk) gives details of the talks and presentations I can offer. All my presentations last for about 60 minutes and cost £50 plus a fee for travel. However, I do not charge the standard 45p per mile, but only for what petrol I use for the journey.
