Syria in more recent times has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Stewart and his wife Karen were fortunate to explore the country before IS and discovered an enchanting people, a wonderful landscape with an incredible history. Indeed, given the immensity of Syrian history, this presentation takes four key epochs and illustrates the places associated with each. Finally, Stewart gives some thoughts on the rise of radical Islam.
