The Guildhall, the oldest continuing civic building in England has had a rich history since the mid 1100s. It has been a witness to the town's history in times of local and national importance and was seen as of great significance during the English Civil War and from WW2 houses the last remaining complete ROC Operations room. The story also includes discoveries made during its restoration between 2015 and July 2018.
