Samuel Franklin Cody (1867 -1913) an extraordinary character who was at one time an American cowboy, Wild West showman, playwright, dramatist, kite flyer & balloonist and the first man to build and fly an aeroplane in the UK for the British Army. His ancestors came from Weymouth in Dorset and he eventually became a UK citizen.

I retired in 2008 and started giving talks as a hobby. My talks are all the result of extensive research of the subject and I try and include as many pictures and film as possible. I particularly like ‘fascinating historical characters’ .
