Two vastly different historical figures linked by the Queen Victoria’s 1887 Golden Jubilee Celebrations in London. Buffalo Bill was invited to bring his Wild West show to England for the first time and perform in front of the queen.

At the time of their meeting, Queen Victoria was head of the largest empire in the world, and Buffalo Bill the most famous person in the world. The talk explores their backgrounds and their lives, together with some interesting and largely unknown facts about both individuals.

About Bill McNaught

I started work in 1961 as a Westland Helicopters engineering apprentice spending 25 years with the company before moving on to manage a number of other aviation and defence companies. I retired in 2008 and started giving talks as a hobby. My talks are all the result of extensive research of the subject and I try and include as many pictures and film as possible. I particularly like ‘fascinating historical characters’ .
