Biography:

Marion is a devoted fan of dance. A late return to classes rekindled her love for dance and led her into a world that she thought had passed her by. She became involved with an amateur ballet company in 2002, joined the committee later that year and also performed with them from 2002 until 2018.

Elected as Chairman in 2010 she successfully transferred her extensive business skills and experience into its organisation, channelling her efforts and motivation into ensuring the future of this amateur company; stepping down in 2018 she left it in an enviable financial position. Giving talks about the company brought it to the attention of a far wider audience and considerably boosted ticket sales.

She continues to share her love of dance and theatre with entertaining talks to audiences from Townswomens’ Guilds, NWR groups, U3As, Rotary Clubs, Women’s Institutes etc. wherever there is a desire for interesting, educational and light-hearted talks with Ballet as a central theme. She has now added a talk about one of her favourite authors to her repertoire and is researching another talk that she hopes to add very soon. Her fee is donated to the MS Society.

Her talks are accompanied by PowerPoint presentations and all last approximately 45 minutes. She brings a tutu and shoes to illustrate the talks where appropriate. She can supply all of the equipment including a screen where necessary. She looks forward to hearing from you. She is based in Essex and looks at ease of travel and distance to venues.
