Biography:

Janet Ridler is an established and well-known professional historian, writer and tour guide, who has worked as a Heritage Interpreter for historical buildings and venues across South Yorkshire including Sheffield Cathedral, Sheffield General Cemetery, Portland Works and Sheffield Museums. She has devised and written guidebooks, tours and presentations for both adults and children, and is a popular speaker at venues across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, as well as further afield.

Janet has given presentations, talks and lecture for for Sheffield University's Festival of the Mind, the Off the Shelf Literary Festival, Sheffield Showcase Festival and for English Heritage and the National Trust, and is in demand as a speaker for groups such as Local History societies, Probus, Women's Institute. libraries, and more.
