The Gunpowder plot is still remembered today through Guy Fawkes and Bonfire night but why was it planned and who was behind it? Was there a chance of it being successful ?
What role did Henry VIII and other Tudor monarchs play in the formulation of the plot?
Who were the conspirators and and who was the actual leader? What was the follow -up plan if the plot had succeeded?
What was the progress of the plot and how were the conspirators found out?
What happened at the shoot-out at Holbeach House and what was the fate of the plotters?
Would the country be different today if Parliament had been blown up?

I am a Business Studies graduate who has recently retired from the motor industry who always thought he would have made a good history teacher. I passed on my love of the subject to my daughter and she became one!

My talks can be short at 45 minutes but can be increased to an hour or more if required.
