Which natural disaster will be the first to wipe us out? Will it be a giant asteroid, a super volcano, a gamma ray burst, a faltering magnetic field, the expanding sun (red giant), a black hole, a collision of galaxies, a mega solar flare, a slowing Earth, or others? The talk looks at the physics and mechanics of the natural events that threaten us, along with their frequency and probability, and their destructive potential. The answer is surprising and worrying! Does not address man-made catastrophes like war, and does not include epidemics)
