Biography:

I am an author and tutor of creative writing, English Literature and Drama. For over 25 years, I wrote commercial fiction for women's magazines and was widely published nationally and internationally. I then switched to writing full length fiction after completing an M.A. in Creative Writing and have since written five novels. In addition to writing, I run workshops and give talks to U3a groups, women's institute groups, literary and history societies. I am an examiner of drama for New Era Academy and also coach students in English Literature and Drama.

A Londoner by birth, I lived there for many years and still think of it as home even though I currently live in Winchester. I also spend a great deal of time in Crete, an island that I am passionate about and find very congenial for writing!

My novels are widely enjoyed by book groups and are character focused with underlying themes of the complexities of families and relationships. My most recent novel, however, near to completion, has a very different theme and setting - WW2 in London and explores, amongst other matters, conscientious objection. I am a passionate speaker! I love words, language and the power of communication through both the written and spoken word and enjoy engaging with the varying audiences I find when sharing my craft.
