Biography:

Andrew's career has taken him on an extraordinary journey—from leaving school at 16 with no formal qualifications, to working around the world as a conservation biologist, ecologist and professional fossil hunter. Following his first job as a shepherd and subsequently gaining experience across agriculture, horticulture and countryside management, Andrew made the life-changing decision to return to education at the age of 30. Four universities later and with degrees in Ecology, Horticulture and Palaeontology, Andrew has worked on wildlife conservation projects in some of the world's most spectacular locations - including Mauritius, Madagascar and remote islands in the Indian Ocean - before returning to the UK to work as a Coastal Ranger for local authorities and the National Trust. Today, Andrew combines his lifelong passion for fossils, wildlife and the natural world with a love of sharing stories from his remarkable career. His talks are packed with fascinating discoveries, stunning photographs, behind-the-scenes insights, and the occasional hilarious tale of things not quite going to plan. Audiences leave entertained, informed and inspired by the wonders of nature and the adventures that come with exploring it.
