Fun and informative talk on professional fossil hunting in Morocco and Dorset. Areas where the fossils are found, the types of fossils found and the enjoyment of the search. I will be bringing plenty of examples of the various fossils alongside a Power Point presentation of these adventures. I will also include many stories about how I have helped the local fossil hunters in Morocco on their search and how these are done with very primitive tools even today.

Hello, my name is Andrew. I left school at 16 years old without any qualifications. I had worked my school holidays and at weekends on farms. So when I left school I was lucky enough to land a position as a Shepherd with a 1,000 sheep and two dogs, June and Fly. I worked in many different aspects of the agricultural until I switched to the horticultural industry, both working in commercial and amenity.
At the age of 30 I decided that I would like to go to university. I ended up going to four different universities and gained several degrees in Ecology, Horticulture and Palaeontology. After university I worked as a Biology, around the World, on different conservation projects, and back in the UK as a Coastal Ranger, working for different councils and the National Trust.
I have a great passion for Fossils and the Natural World and have been very lucky to have had some fantastic adventures, with some very funny, almost unbelievable experiences that have happened along the way.
