Details of talks given by David Morgan
I am a public historian specialising in the Second World War, using unpublished diaries to explore the everyday experiences of soldiers and how their personal stories reshape our understanding of life during wartime. My work focuses on the human side of conflict, what individuals noticed, recorded, and remembered, while also considering the wider impact of war on civilians on the Home Front.
I offer engaging, accessible illustrated talks that draw on real voices from the past, supported by archival material and visual sources.
I am also available to speak on wider themes in British and industrial history, and have experience chairing ‘in conversation’ events and public discussions.
