Details of talks given by Jason Harper
Growing up as a middle class Christian in a small village in the East of England I set out in life with a very conservative view of the world. After a rocky start to education I graduated from University with a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies, and I went on to work for two of the largest IT companies on the planet.
As my professional skills grew, so did my knowledge of other cultures and ways of life, and in my mid-thirties, after my transferable Project and Programme Management skills enabled me to switch industry and move into Finance, I had started to question the foundations of my beliefs, and decided it was time to retire and have a change of lifestyle.
With a new outlook and mindset developing I began to travel more and I married into a Middle Eastern family. Challenging the status quo, I became a stay-at-home Father while my wife pursued her very successful career in an international company. The luxury of time available to me because of my life choices has enabled me to invest in educating myself in matters that I am passionate about and to maintain my professional skills through voluntary work.
I have come to realise that we can learn so much from each other by sharing what we have learnt during the course of our lives, so after successfully delivering my first talk I would like to share more of my experiences with others.
