Angela, originally from South Wales in the UK, has a BA Degree (Open University) and an extensive career working in Education, language teaching and 25 years in the Travel and Tourism industry. Angela has worked as Tour Leader for Spanish speaking passengers onboard Cruise Ships, primarily in the Mediterranean, South America, Scandinavia and the British Isles and in more recent years has undertaken many Destination and Enrichment Lecturer onboard contracts. Her informative and entertaining lectures (list of topics below), which cover a range of historical and cultural themes, have proven immensely popular with audiences of all ages. Angela has travelled extensively around the world with her Spanish husband, Julio, who also has a very strong background in the travel industry and he, too, spends much of his retirement giving onboard port lectures, primarily for Princess Cruises.
Before moving back to the UK in 1987, the couple had lived and worked in Tenerife, Canary Islands since the mid-1970s. Angela’s interests are travelling, reading and sport, particularly tennis. One of her sons, Jamie Delgado, an ex-professional tennis player on the ATP tour, coached Andy Murray for 6 years, during which time he became world No 1 ranked player. He is currently Head coach to Jack Draper, currently World ranked No. 10.
