Ian Matheson is an experienced History teacher, author and presenter. I was Head of History in secondary schools for 15 years and was also Principal Examiner/Assessor for Higher History for fifteen years.

For almost forty years I have presented in person to historical societies, Workers Educational Association groups, Rotary, Round Table, Probus, u3a and other organisations as well as speaking at conferences. My presentations have ranged from medieval and early modern to twentieth century history. I am also in demand as a quizmaster in Ayrshire and occasionally elsewhere and run a monthly quiz on Zoom with participating teams from Scotland, various parts of England and Northern Ireland.

Although I have presentations available "off the shelf", with a bit of notice I am happy to negotiate new ones to meet specific requests.
