Since graduating from Edinburgh and St Andrews universities, Craig Statham has worked in the heritage sector for 20 years.

In that time he has written six books, four of which were local history-related, and two biographies - one on Bruce Springsteen, the other on the Scottish athletics coach, Jimmy Curran.

An experienced public speaker, he gives 10-15 talks a year, on a variety of subjects.
