About Grace Lovelass

Grace Lovelass is an operatic mezzo-soprano, creator and three-time IRONMAN whose work bridges stagecraft and endurance.

Her operatic roles include Witch/Mother in Hansel & Gretel and Tisbe in La Cenerentola (Opera Kipling/Camden Fringe), Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi and Dido in Dido & Aeneas (Red Earth Opera), the Sorceress in Dido & Aeneas (Somerset Opera), Adalgisa in Norma and Nancy/Julia in Martha (Heber Opera), and Marthe Schwerdtlein in Faust with Opéra de Baugé, where she was awarded the Gil-Rodriguez Scholarship. She has also performed Olga in Eugene Onegin, Flora in La Traviata and Olga/Margot in The Merry Widow.

A versatile performer with a comic streak, Grace writes and produces her own one-woman music theatre. Her latest show, Ballgowns & Bib Shorts – the musical memoir of an opera-singing triathlete – debuted in 2025 and tours the fringe circuit this year. Blending classical repertoire, musical theatre, pop and irreverent parody, it follows the success of Graceful (2022) and Disgraceful (2023). Her work has been supported by Dorchester Arts and Lighthouse Poole’s Sanctuary scheme.

As a concert soloist she has performed El amor brujo with Oxford University Sinfonietta and premiered the role of Mary Magdalene in a new Passion setting with the City of Bristol Choir. During the pandemic she joined the award-winning Virtual Opera Project production of L’Enfant et les Sortilèges in collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Grace has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe and in new theatrical works including Are You Worthy? and Cocky & the Tardigrades, and performed under the direction of Pamela Howard OBE in Bernstein in Chichester.

Originally from Bedfordshire, she read Classics at King’s College London, performing in the annual Greek Play in ancient Greek. After a career in public relations, she retrained as a singer, winning five classes at the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival and securing awards for opera, Lieder and oratorio. She trained at the Associated Studios and gained early professional experience with Dorset Opera Festival.

Alongside her performance career, Grace is a three-time IRONMAN finisher (France, Spain and Switzerland) and creator of the podcast Trioomph. In 2026 she launched Train Antiope – Strengthen the mind, body and voice of your inner warrior, a coaching brand drawing on her experience as an elite endurance athlete and professional performer. Through embodied movement, strength work and voice, she helps others build resilience, confidence and presence.

Grace is also a public speaker, touring the South West with Glitz, Glamour & Blowing Raspberries, and is a trained ballroom and Latin dancer and visual artist.

She lives in Dorset with her husband, close to the Jurassic Coast.
