From the early days aircraft have been identified by symbols, liveries and flags. This illustrated talk examines that legacy and follows the development of Imperial Airways, BEA & BOAC through to the British Airways of today. It takes a look at the uniforms, insignia and the lives of some of the aviation pioneers who left their mark on the industry and paved the way for todays professional pilots and aircrew. Suitable for audiences with even a passing interest in aviation the talk was developed with assistance from the British Airways Heritage Collection, The Flag Institute and The Airship Heritage Trust.
