Paymaster Captain Leslie Ayre, as the C-in-C China’s Secretary, travelled widely in China and the Far East. His diary includes accounts of the burial of Sun Yat-sen and the Rendition of Wei-hei-wei as well as a journey up the Yangste river to Chungking. The talk is illustrated with photographs taken at the time.
