This interactive session explores the power of gratitude as a mindset and everyday practice. We often talk about goals and growth — but gratitude invites us to slow down, take notice of what’s working and build a deeper relationship with joy, perspective and connection.

Using reflective journaling prompts, discussion and the GLAD method (Gratitude, Learning, Accomplishment and Delight), participants explore both the emotional and social benefits of gratitude. We also consider how gratitude can support wellbeing through challenging times, and how to make it part of everyday life — both at work and beyond.

Originally developed for a staff development day and later delivered as a 60-minute online Lunch & Learn, this session can also run up to 90 minutes depending on your group's needs. It includes a downloadable workbook and is available online, in person or hybrid.

Suitable for wellbeing events, team resets or as part of a wider personal development series. Ideal for small or larger groups.

About Dr Tara Goddard

I'm a personal development coach, speaker and educator passionate about helping people grow with clarity and confidence. Originally from Barbados, I moved to the UK in 2013 to complete a PhD in Marketing, and since then I’ve built a life and career grounded in reflection, learning and meaningful connection.

I bring together academic experience, coaching expertise and my lived experience as a Black Caribbean woman and immigrant. That combination helps me connect with a wide range of audiences and create spaces where people feel safe to pause, reflect and take action. Whether I’m leading a workshop, delivering a keynote or speaking in a community setting, I aim to bring energy, compassion and structure to every session.

My delivery and materials consistently receive positive feedback for their clarity, practicality and ability to support learning across different formats and settings. Audiences often tell me they leave feeling more grounded, motivated and clear about their next steps. My higher education background, facilitation and coaching experience mean that I’m experienced in designing tailored sessions that meet the specific needs of different groups, ensuring each experience feels relevant, meaningful and supportive.
