Bread has been important to us for many thousands of years. When was leavened bread discovered? What was the impact of the Corn Laws in the first half of the 19th Century? Why was bread rationed after the end of World War II? Coming right up to date, why is most bread made today not terribly good for us? Who knew that bread could be so (hopefully) very interesting!
