A journey tracing the ancient Silk Roads across Central Asia - travelling more than 3,000 miles through wild mountains and fierce deserts in Nepal, Tibet, Xinjiang (remote Western China) and Pakistan. An amazing array of cultures, peoples and landscapes - from below sea level at Turpan to 16,000 feet passes on the Tibetan plateau.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. He is also a member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild.
Roger has a particular interest in the heritage of our canals and can offer talks which include fascinating archive images of our wonderful waterways - as well as colourful contemporary images.
Zoom presentations can be provided. All talks can be tailored to suit and canal-based talks will always include aspects of local interest. There's always time for questions and answers.
