What's it like taking a sketchbook to some of the coldest and wildest places on the planet? I will share my sketchbooks and my stories of the challenges of sketching amongst the ice on board a Royal Navy icebreaker.
Views: 13 | Enquiries: 0I am an illustrator, author, tutor and speaker with a passion for all things maritime. I spend as much time as possible travelling, preferably by sea, with sketchbook and watercolours.
In recent years I have sketched my way across the oceans – from Galapagos to Falklands via Cape Horn under sail, to Antarctica as Friends of Scott Polar Research Institute Artist in Residence, to Spitzbergen leading a sketching voyage under sail, and across the Pacific as ship’s art tutor.
I'm an experienced speaker and have given talks, workshops and demonstrations to a wide variety of organisations including Royal Institute of Navigation, Cruising Association and Royal Yacht Squadron.
I live afloat on the River Deben in Suffolk and I'm always on the lookout for more maritime adventures!
