There are about 16,000 Parish churches in England, 13,000 of those Grade 1 listed. Some (but sadly not as many as in the past) have fascinating graphic stories on their walls.
Wall paintings in churches give us a fascinating glimpse into the medieval past, they may very well be largest collection of pre-reformation information that we have left. This talk explores these fascinating objects. Why were they put there? What do they mean? How were they done?

I regularly give talks in my local village in the Cotswolds, the fabulous Hook Norton. These talks have ranged from the history of Bletchley Park to the Apollo space programme, to the history of flight to the story of how they solved how to measure Longitude. I'm happy to give these talks to other groups, or to research and then speak on a topic of interest to groups.
