This talk centres on shipwreck of a Maryport barque in 1888, in the South Pacific. The second mate of the "Henry James" was faced with a choice; to stay on the island or to attempt to get help. The result was one of the most epic small boat voyages in maritime history, and it has been forgotten by History. A tale of courage and fortitude in the face of great dangers.
