Often the only thing people recall from their GCSE Biology lessons are that the menopause is when a woman's periods end. However, thankfully science has moved on and we now know a huge amount about what happens to woman during this decade of change. Historically a taboo subject, in 2023, it is crucial all adults appreciate what symptoms a woman can experience and how these can effect her professional performance and relationships. This talk takes the audience through the physical and chemical symptoms and makes sense of minefield of changes to ensure empathy and understanding. This talk can be delivered to a mixed audience or separately.
Views: 482 | Enquiries: 3My name is Katie Selman and I'm a registered Nutritionist (BSc, PGCert, DipION) and I specialise in women's hormone health, primarily perimenopause and menopause. My clinic, Verto Nutrition, is so named as Verto means change or transformation in Latin.
I aim to educate women about what's happening to their minds and bodies and empower them to take back control through understanding their hormones, the impact of their diet and lifestyle and their overall health on how they can find a way through what can be a challenging time.
This area, although now far more publicised, is still hugely misunderstood by the absolute majority of the population. The effects of this hormone change can significantly affect a woman's ability to maintain her professional and personal relationships and productivity. Through education of all parties, I aim to help companies find a way to support their employees as they manage this change. I can deliver bespoke presentations tailored to specific audiences and offer 1-2-1 consultations as follow ups.
My previous roles including working in marketing for FMCG companies and training others in communications skills.
I'm happy to travel throughout the UK and Europe to deliver talks. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thank you.
