This is a humorous talk about my gardening Border Terriers, Rolo, Teddy and Bear. It details their gardening escapades in three different gardens: a small estate garden, a lavish half an acre, to their present, more modest 100ft plot. Their adventures range from drinking the beer out of slug traps, picking their own soft fruit, helping with the digging, eating stuff they shouldn’t eat, pot and plant destruction, pest control and testing the security of boundaries! Their gardening adventures are featured in their magazine column for Sussex Living, their books, and their blog. This talk won’t teach you much about gardening, but it will be a lot of fun!
Views: 494 | Enquiries: 0I am a freelance writer, writing across a range of genres, locally and nationally. I am perhaps best known for writing as my dogs, idiosyncratic Border Terriers. Of the two latest encumbants, Teddy, the elder, has his own blog, magazine column, and Twitter account, whilst our younger dog, Bear, is still on the chubby crayons stage of her literary career. Our first Border, the late, great, and extremely badly behaved, Rolo, wrote two books which give his particular mischevious view on life, from knee high. In addition to my humorous dog talks, I also give talks on more serious topics: my journey as a writer, animal writing and also on poetry appreciation, dispelling those early school experiences with a more enjoyable, enlightened understanding. I am included by West Kent and East Sussex WIs, in their speakers' directories. I am a reliable, eloquent, engaging and entertaining speaker, happy delivering to small or large groups, by advanced pre-booking, or a relatively short notice subject to availibility.
