This talk is a fascinating look at Polish history through the focus of the Second World War.
At the end of the Second World War there were 228,000 displaced Poles in the United Kingdom. The majority of these were military men who had served under the mandate of the British military for the period of the War. There were also a number of Poles who had managed to get here via other means.
(This does not include any individuals of Polish descent who were already in the United Kingdom prior to1939.)
