Our cupboards and fridges contain many ingredients that can be used for first aid and minor ailments. Everyday foods, herbs and spices can be easily transformed into healing medicines and remedies. There is a powerful medicine chest just waiting to be used. I'll talk about which foods you can use and how to use them. I can also bring remedies for people to try.

About Helen Gray

Please note I am only available for evenings and weekend talks in the Bristol area. I am a qualified medical herbalist and wellbeing practitioner. I love plants, particularly wild, hedgerow and common ones, often described as weeds. I have been foraging for 30 years, and use wild plants in my everyday diet, as well as using them to make medicines for my herbal practice. I work with nature connection and have witnessed first hand how time spent outdoors improves our wellbeing, and am keen to connect people to themselves, each other and nature. I also have a wider interest in the landscape including permaculture, folklore, social history and archaeology. This gives me a deeper understanding of our relationship with plants in the past, and how our relationship with them might develop in the future. I am interested in the emerging science of plant consciousness, how we are discovering that plants are as communicative, social (or anti-social!) as animals. We are only beginning to understand this fascinating world.
