About Helen Gray

Please note I am only available for evenings and weekend talks in the Bristol area. I am a qualified medical herbalist and wellbeing practitioner. I love plants, particularly wild, hedgerow and common ones, often described as weeds. I have been foraging for 30 years, and use wild plants in my everyday diet, as well as using them to make medicines for my herbal practice. I work with nature connection and have witnessed first hand how time spent outdoors improves our wellbeing, and am keen to connect people to themselves, each other and nature. I also have a wider interest in the landscape including permaculture, folklore, social history and archaeology. This gives me a deeper understanding of our relationship with plants in the past, and how our relationship with them might develop in the future. I am interested in the emerging science of plant consciousness, how we are discovering that plants are as communicative, social (or anti-social!) as animals. We are only beginning to understand this fascinating world.
