Based on my radio show, this talk looks at some of the great swing-era jazz men and women, their music and their often extraordinary lives. While you listen to artists like Benny Goodman, Bob Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald and Glenn Miller, you can get a feeling for this fascinating decade through stories, photographs and newspaper cuttings from the time.
