Develop an understanding and awareness of your arts audience for grant funding applications.

Led by Lead Practitioner of Arts Audience Engagement consultants Disconnected Bodies, Pablo Colella, this session will introduce you to the process required to identify, build and reach art audiences as to inform your ACE grant application.

Audience engagement and participation are essential requirements of Arts Council England grant applications. This session will provide an introduction to arts audiences to help the completion of these application sections.

This session is suitable for anyone applying for National Lottery Grant funding from ACE or Culture Recovery Funding. Those applying for ACE DYCP funding may also benefit from this session despite audience engagement not being the focus of these applications.

During the session we'll cover - How to identify audiences How to reach audiences How to build a creative offering that'll appeal to identified audiences Why audience engagement is so important in grant applications The most effective approach to audience engagement The nuts and bolts of audience engagements sections in grant applications How to communicate audience engagement planning in grant applications Reaching 'a quarantine audience' during COVID-19 closures

The session will consist of a workshop of 1.5 hours, followed by an open Q&A session to answer specific audience engagement questions relating to your application.

ADDED VALUE OFFERING - Offered as a bonus is a one-on-one 30 minute free consultation with Pablo to discuss the specifics of your audience engagement and/or grant application. This will take place outside of the session.

We hope this short workshop will clarify the requirements of audience engagement and contribute to your successful application.
