A non-technical presentation about the human side of the industry, the stories of the pioneers, the inventors, the engineers, the opportunists, the gamblers and the grafters.

Part 1 looks at the beginnings of the industry and the growth of the British scene. including Austin, Morris, Wolseley, Lanchester, Standard, Triumph and the rise and fall of British Leyland.

Part 2 continues with Armstrong-Siddeley, Vauxhall, Frazer Nash, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley and the rise and fall of the Rootes Group.

Retired company director, highly experienced at public speaking. Over 60 years in the motor trade from garage floor to boardroom. Senior positions held with well-known global organisations; Esso Petroleum, General Motors, Fiat Auto UK, Iveco Ford UK, Avis International. Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry. A member of the Association of Motor Industry Historians. Talks also on Literature, Naval History and other interesting subjects.
