Have you ever wondered where the Lady of the Manor came from?

This talk looks at the lives of Evelyne Galton and her sister Laura Gwendolen Douglas Galton - (the latter became Mrs Gascoigne of Lotherton Hall).

A fascinating insight into the lives of two upper class ladies and their tragedies as well as their joys from the mid-1800s to the end of WWII. Illustrated throughout with a powerpoint presentation of photographs and sketches.

About Pauline Robson

I have a BA (Hons) degree in History and am an active local historian. I have been Editor of the Barwick-in-Elmet Historical Society's journal for sixteen years. My main area of historical interest is the Gascoigne Family who lived at Lotherton Hall. I have co-written a book about the Gascoignes and their chauffeur (he outlived all the Gascoignes whom he worked for) entitled 'The Spirit of Lotherton'. I am also an experienced family historian.
