With over five years of experience in whole life carbon, life cycle assessment (LCA), and circular economy (CE)—alongside a broader eight-year background in architecture and construction—I bring a strong combination of technical expertise and practical design understanding to deliver low-carbon developments. As a Senior Sustainability Consultant with an architectural background, I bridge the gap between sustainability targets and practical design delivery. I am experienced in GLA WLC and CE reporting, BREEAM LCA LCC and industry standards including RICS, LETI, and UKNZCBS.
By way of background, after completing a bachelor’s in 2017, worked as an Architect in diverse locations, gaining global experience, including projects involving rural buildings constructed using mud as a locally sourced low-embodied-carbon material. Driven by a strong passion for further reducing embodied carbon emissions in the built environment, later pursued an MSc in Climate Resilience and Environmental Sustainability in Architecture at the University of Liverpool to deepen expertise in sustainability.
My career to date has been defined by a diverse mix of high-profile, award-winning and everyday commercial project. As a key contributor to the Paradise Project in London — recognised as the UK's lowest embodied carbon office building, achieving an upfront carbon of 413 kgCO₂/m² — I calculated the whole-life carbon for this project and proposed measures to reduce carbon during the design process. More recently, at AES Sustainability Consultants, I have led the LCA service from end to end: from client engagement and fee proposals through to technical delivery, report approvals, and securing planning approval/GLA sign-off for 15+ submissions. I have also managed projects for major public sector clients including Transport for London and the NHS, navigating their bespoke requirements. My current responsibilities extend beyond technical delivery to service leadership, including developing fee structures, managing team outputs, and establishing internal processes, templates, and benchmarking results.
Technically, I am proficient in One Click LCA and a wide range of sustainability tools. I hold an MSc in Climate Resilience and Environmental Sustainability in Architecture. Outside of day to day project work, I contribute to advancing the industry knowledge and standards. I have published a research paper — 'LCA of Contemporary UK Housing Built to Zero Carbon' — presented at the CATE conference, and have contributed to industry-shaping initiatives such as the LETI opinion piece 'Circular Economy Outcome Metric’. I am also currently collaborating with the Future Homes Hub to develop their whole-life carbon assessment tool.
