Details of talks given by Phil Nichols
I am an expert on aspects of screenwriting, filmmaking, and science fiction literature/film. I have taught film and TV for thirty years, and have a specialism in writers who work in film and TV. My super-specialism is the American writer Ray Bradbury and his work on screen (the subject of my PhD thesis at Liverpool University), but I can also speak on many other writers and film directors.
I have a PhD in Literature and Film from Liverpool University; an MA in Screenwriting from Bournemouth University; and a first degree in Sciences from The Open University.
I am Senior Consultant to the Ray Bradbury Center at Indiana University, and am the editor of the academic journal The New Ray Bradbury Review.
I am also a podcast producer, and host of the popular podcast Bradbury 100, and co-host of Science Fiction 101.
